New Site Coming Along
Hey everyone. Welcome to my new site. I am leaving it online and open to the public as I develop it, so forgive me if things seem a bit broken at times. If you do run into something that doesn't work or look right, let me know and I'll help you upgrade from Internet Explorer.
Kurt Schaefer talks with Pam Spencer, Otto Fajen and me at the 2012 MNEA Legislative Dinner.
On April 5th, the voters of Columbia Public School District re-elected me to the Board of Education. I could not have been elected without your help. Thank you to the dozens of supporters who volunteered their time phone-banking, canvassing, and working the polls for me. Thank you to the hundreds of supporters who displayed my signs in yards and neighborhoods all over Columbia. And thank you to everyone who made a financial contribution to the campaign.
It’s an honor to be a member of Columbia Public Schools’ Board of Education. I appreciate the opportunity to serve and want to assure you, as a member of the board, I will continue to work as hard serving on the school board as I did on the campaign. The challenges are many, from balancing a tight budget to developing sensible district guidelines––we have a full plate. I’m confident, however, that we can work together to ensure that the quality of Columbia Public Schools continues to improve despite the serious financial challenges confronting us.
I appreciate the opportunity to serve and thank you to everyone who helped! Your support has been invaluable.
Thank you
